One of the salient features of SICS is its computing and Internet services. A house to four Computer laboratories, there are over 80 workstations, each being powered by the Intel's Pentium-IV series processors and the Microsoft NT operation system. All the laboratories are interconnected, forming the Institute's Local Area Network (LAN).

           Internally, the SICS has a wide and varied pool of computing resources in addition to the high speed broadband Internet facility. To cater for the printing service, each lab is equipped with a Multimedia Projectors, Digital Photo Copier, Line printer, in addition to a Laser printer being shared on the LAN. Sophisticated color scanner and a CD server are also installed. To answer the queries related to computing facilities, a Help Desk has also been set up. Well-trained and qualified IT staff is available to immediately troubleshoot any problem in computer labs.
